Essential access and security

The hosting and ChatGPT access services may use essential cookies to complete your sign in, maintain a secure session and protect requests. These are required when you use the private workspace. Cloudflare also sets the __cf_bm cookie to protect the site from automated abuse; its observed lifetime is around 30 minutes.

Browser preferences

The Finance Friend uses browser storage to protect unsaved edits, retain versions when sync conflicts occur, and remember display and lock preferences. A signed-in active recovery copy is removed as soon as the latest cloud save is confirmed. Retained conflict versions stay until you delete them in Sync recovery. Browser-only preview copies remain on that device.

The ff-analytics preference cookie records your choice for up to 180 days. Essential access cookies are managed by the hosting and ChatGPT services; their duration depends on the session. We do not use advertising cookies.

Cookie-free public website analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Essential only is the default until you choose. It does not use cookies, browser storage or fingerprinting to identify visitors. It is excluded from signed-in pages and from browsers holding financial recovery copies. Automatic tracking within the workspace is disabled.

Analytics receives page and referring-page addresses, browser and device information, approximate country and performance measurements. We do not send calculator inputs, financial records, uploaded files or ChatGPT account details to analytics. See our privacy policy and Cloudflare Web Analytics information.

No advertising tracking

We do not load advertising trackers or session recordings.
